ANNOUCEMENT - NEW ALASKA CRUISE SHIP HEAD TAX
The citizens of the State of Alaska recently voted in favor of an initiative assessing a new $50 per person Alaska head tax for all cruise ship guests entering Alaska waters in 2007. The cruise industry fought very hard to prevent this law, but unfortunately, the Alaska voters won out. As a result, all cruise lines, have started adding this $50 per person Alaska head tax to all new and existing Alaska cruise reservations.

We have already started receiving confirmations from the cruise lines reflecting the addition of the new Alaska head tax on existing bookings. If you booked your cruise with AlaskaCruises.com, we will email your new invoice once yours is updated.

The cruise lines are still reviewing their legal options and if there is any development that results in the removal or reduction of the tax, your reservation would be automatically repriced and a credit would be issued. The Alaska head tax is fully refundable in the event you must cancel your cruise.
