Dining & Drinks on Silversea Alaska Cruises

Dining is an integral part of the Silversea experience. You'll be attended to by European-trained waiters, and can enjoy dishes created in partnership with Grand Chefs Relais & Chateaux. In The Restaurant, the main dining room aboard all Silversea ships, tables are dressed in fine linens and decorated with European crystal glasses and sparkling silverware. The Restaurant has an open seating arrangement, so you can arrive at your leisure and dine with whomever you'd like.

On both ships, you can also enjoy a light breakfast or lunch or a casual dinner at the Pool Bar & Grill, where grilled meats, sandwiches, and hot pizzas are served. In the evenings, reserve a spot at the Black Rock Grill and cook steak, veal, pork, lamb, salmon, fish or prawns on a preheated volcanic rock brought right to your table. On the Silver Shadow, you can also dine at La Terrazza - an Italian restaurant serving pasta made daily onboard and 24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano, among other delicious dishes - or Le Champagne, the only Wine Restaurant by Relais & Chateaux at sea. This six-course experience is available by reservation, and costs $40 per guest.

All beverages are included in your cruise fare, including wines, champagne and spirits. Drinks are complimentary throughout the ship, and you can choose from an extensive list of fine wines at mealtime.

Activities on Silversea Alaska Cruises

While onboard, there is plenty of entertainment and activities to participate in, as well as quiet sanctuaries in which to retreat. At "The Spa at Silversea," guests are pampered with soothing treatments like facials, body wraps and massages. The spa also has sauna and steam rooms, and salon services like manicures, pedicures, and hair treatments. Take a yoga or Pilates class at the Fitness Center, or work out on your own using the free weights, weight machines, treadmills, elliptical trainers, and bicycles. Play a round of cards in the card room, or check out a book from the library to take out on deck.

No cruise would be complete without a casino, and Silversea's has roulette, blackjack, and slot machines, as well as lessons during a champagne reception for novices. In the show lounge or theater, enjoy a range of entertainment from production shows to cultural enrichment to feature films and special events. Guest lecturers give presentations on the region's wildlife, nature, culture and more. In the Panorama Lounge, unwind and enjoy a drink while taking in the spectacular view of each destination.

Each voyage includes an unforgettable five-course gala dinner showcasing master chefs Relais & Chateaux Gourmands' special skills. Relais & Chateaux and Silversea have also come together to bring guests La Collection du Monde, exclusive signature dishes inspired by local ports and cultures.
