Book this package and we will give you a complimentary upgrade to the Princess Wilderness Lodge for your 2 Nights in Denali.
Don't let the term “Wilderness Lodge” fool you! Each of our hotel guest rooms is comfortably appointed with two double beds, two queen beds or one king bed, television and telephone -- just in case you want to catch up with the outside world. Outdoor hot tubs afford commanding views of the Park and Nenana River while you relax and indulge in a soothing soak. Princess' premiere accommodations far outshine the average Alaska lodge!
Fully narrated by a naturalist, this seven to nine-hour tour travels 53 miles into Denali National Park to the Toklat River. The tour focuses on scouting out the wildlife in the park, in addition to explaining the historical and geographical background of the area. The tour offers frequent photo opportunities. Rest stops are made approximately every 90 minutes and a light snack with hot beverage is included. You may want to bring a boxed lunch along as no concessions are available once the tour begins.
The Natural History Tour included in the package only goes 19 miles into the park and is about 1/2 as long. This upgrade doubles your time in Denali and gets you much deeper into the park.
These two-level railcars are attached to the Alaska Railroad train, but the railcar itself is operated by a private company. These rail-cars have a spacious upper level dome seating area and cocktail bar and a open air viewing platform on every car. A fine dining experience is available in the dining room downstairs.
