On Hurtigruten's coastal voyages in Norway, tipping is not required or expected. If you feel crew members should be rewarded for providing exceptional service, tip boxes and envelopes are placed in the main restaurant.
On expedition cruises, Hurtigruten recommends a gratuity of 80 NOK (approximately $12 USD) per day, per guest. These amounts can be adjusted on board. Forms are left in the cabin for passengers to fill out and give to the purser before the end of the cruise. The amount will be charged to your onboard account. No gratuities are added to wine or cocktail purchases.
