Make the most of your time in port with this immersive and relaxing photography tour through the stunning natural landscapes of Haines. After arriving in town, you'll meet your friendly, professional photography guide and board a comfortable vehicle for a small-group experience, limited to just 10 guests.
This guided photo tour is designed for all levels of photography-whether you're carrying a professional camera or simply using your smartphone. Your guide, a local professional photographer, has carefully scouted a variety of scenic locations in advance to ensure the best lighting, backdrops, and chances to spot wildlife.
Throughout the tour, you'll receive hands-on tips on composition, camera settings, using natural light, and even how to anticipate animal behavior for that perfect shot. The small group size allows your guide to spend individual time with each participant, helping you improve your technique while capturing the beauty of Alaska.
Haines is renowned for its rich wildlife and dramatic scenery. Bald eagles are often seen soaring overhead or perched nearby, and beginning in August, you may even spot brown bears feeding on salmon along the Chilkoot River.
Please Note: This tour is led by a professional photographer and is focused on helping guests capture incredible images. Guests must bring their own camera or phone. No photography experience is necessary. While the tour travels through prime wildlife habitat, sightings are not guaranteed.
